Jimmy Aldridge
Head of Industry Transition Strategy
Jimmy has over a decade of experience on energy, climate, and industrial issues working across academia, think tanks, NGOs and philanthropy. Prior to joining the PIE, Jimmy was Associate Director at the Institute for Public Policy Research in London. He holds a PhD and a Masters in energy from the University of Exeter.
Elana Boehm
Director of Operations
Elana comes to PIE with 15 years of experience scaling operations, leading teams, and managing multi-stakeholder projects in startups, scale-ups, Fortune-10 companies and non-profits in the US and Europe. She is passionate about enabling organizations to address global sustainability challenges. She holds a BA from Williams College and an MBA from Duke University.
Malena Botello
Grants Officer
Malena has over 14 years of experience working in project management and international cooperation across organizations such as the United Nations.
Malena holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Louisville and a Master in International Relations from Universidad del Salvador.”
Rebecca Collyer
Executive Director, International Clean Energy
Rebecca is an experienced EU policymaker, having served in Peter Mandelson’s cabinet in the European Commission before working on international and European energy transition in foundations. Rebecca is a Senior Advisor to the Crux network of leading organisations working on energy transitions, she is a member of the advisory board of think tanks AgoraEnergy and Greenmap and the Co-Chair of the LEDS GP. Rebecca studied Human Sciences at the University of Oxford and has lived and worked in both the United States and China.
Anqi Dang
Asia Senior Associate
Anqi has experience spanning public and private sectors with a specialism in sustainable finance, including roles at Allianz, GIZ and EY. Her academic journey encompasses international trade, economics, and energy, with an M.A. in International Economic Policy from Sciences Po Paris.
Berivan Dural
Senior Communications Associate
Berivan is a seasoned communications professional with 15 years of experience, specializing in climate and energy issues for the past decade. She has held key communications management roles at WWF and the European Climate Foundation, focusing on strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and content management. Berivan is responsible for ensuring effective internal and external communications at PIE. She holds a MA in Media and Communication Systems from Istanbul Bilgi University.
Santiago Briceño Flórez
Head of Colombia
Santiago has over 10 years of experience working with the public and private sectors on environmental policy and regulation, including diplomacy, green finance and ways to increase climate ambition in the energy sector. Santiago graduated in Law and History from Universidad de los Andes and has a Masters (MSc.) in Environmental Policy and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also studied International and European Law at Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg.
Xing Fu-Bertaux
Director for Energy Diplomacy
Xing has over a decade of experience working on climate, development, and energy issues. She holds an M.A. in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris.
Originally from Shanghai, she has lived in Paris, Washington, D.C and Berlin.
Lydia Gibson
Director of Civil Society Networks
Lydia has over 15 years experience working in both the NGO sector and philanthropic community working to help protect climate, oceans and forests. Her academic background is in the field of Marine Biology, with both a Masters in Marine Mammals and Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology at Bangor University.
Juan David Gómez
Regional Advisor for Americas
Juan David joined the International Energy Programme in 2021 as Regional Advisor (external consultant) to the Americas Programme. He has experience as an attorney in the policy, regulatory, and project finance aspects for the development of Renewable Energy projects, so as on public utilities and social impact projects.
Juan David holds a JD from the University of the Andes. He speaks Spanish, English, and German.
Zeina Kahlil Hajj
Executive Director Regions and Industry
Zeina has more than 25 years of experience in creative campaigning, communications, political and policy development, organising and mobilising on a global level. She has wide experience of running campaign and policy change in the global south with a focus on China, India, Mexico, North Africa and primarily Turkey and the Middle East. She has helped set-up organisations and worked on organisational structures and campaigns around the world. In addition to this, she is the board chair of EKO (previously SumofUs), a global organisation working to curb the power of corporations.
Dan Hamza-Goodacre
Fellow Electrification, Integration and Grids
DanHamza-Goodacre is Founder and Chief Energy Officer for Integrate to Zero and an advisor to various foundations. Dan has designed, advised on and led climate solutions for 25 years for governments, the private sector, and in civil society. Notable areas of work include - drafting some of the UK Climate Change Act, coordinating campaigning for the Buy Clean Act (USA), helping set up the Climate Group's EP100, designing and leading K-CEP (global cooling programme) and drafting the Power Breakthrough for COP26.

Jamie is a specialist in communications and strategy. He has 15 year’s experience in civil society organisations and philanthropy. He holds degrees from the Universities of Tasmania and Oxford.
Stanislas d’Herbemont
Manager, Offshore wind
Stanislas joined PIE to work on the development of offshore wind. Prior to this, he was involved with the community energy sector for 10 years. He began working with community micro-grids and transitioned into industrial project development and financing. Stanislas holds two master's degrees in finance and international business.

Africa Director
Sherman has a 20-year career spanning professional services, management consulting, industry and government sectors, of which, 15 years focused on sustainability across energy intensive industry value chains.
Charlotte Inglis
Head of Americas
Charlotte leads and established the Americas programme at PIE. Previously she founded and led the Maritime and Arctic programme at the European Climate Foundation. She has worked on climate and environmental issues for c.16 years – including on clean power transition and how to decarbonise international shipping and aviation. She studied Human Sciences at Oxford University and is also a qualified environmental lawyer.
Hajar Khamlichi
North Africa Director
Hajar Khamlichi is a sustainability expert and climate advocate who has over 15 years of experience in environmental operations, CSR management, and influencing decision-makers to drive climate action.
She's the co-founder of the Mediterranean Youth Climate Network (MYCN) and Moroccan-based Imal Initiative for Climate and Development. In addition to this, she is the Mediterranean coordinator at the MENA urban sustainability non-profit, Carboun.
Kaarina Kolle
Head of Clean Energy Demand
Kaarina has 13 years of experience in the climate and energy policy field, specialising in business clean energy transition. Kaarina holds an MSc in Environmental Policy from Oxford University.
Lina Li
Asia Strategy Director
Lina has 15 years of experience working on climate, energy and sustainability policy, ranging from think tank, CSO, consultancy and business. Lina holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Duisburg-Essen, an M.A. in International Politics from Peking University, and a B.A. in Diplomacy from the Renmin University of China.

Asia Senior Associate
Ermi is a specialist in energy analysis having worked at Southern California Edison, contributing to environmental strategy and resource planning and then served at the International Energy Agency. Ermi has a B.S. in Physics from UCLA. Originally from China's Yunnan province, she has lived in the US and Europe.
Antonina Kahonzi Mukasa
Administrative Coordinator
Antonina joined PIE in August 2024 with over five years of experience in both private and public sectors. She holds a Master of Public Policy from Willy Brandt School of Public Policy in Germany and a B.A in International Relations from USIU-Africa. She briefly worked for PfEU_Berlin, a public policy think tank, and is deeply committed to social development, gender equality, and youth empowerment.

Senior Operations Associate
Hector brings over 15 years of experience in project management, process improvement, and knowledge management within the environmental and sustainability sectors. In his previous role, Hector led the implementation of a global knowledge base in 11 languages that attracts more than 14,000 visits monthly. Hector holds two master's degrees: one in Business Administration, and another in Sustainability & CSR.
Matt Phillips
Chief Executive Officer
Matt has led efforts to advance clean energy for more than 15 years at PIE and the European Climate Foundation. Before that he had a 20 year career in international civil society organisations working on the environment, international development and in the media. Matt has an MSC from University College London.
Brendan Roth
Head of Energy Finance
Brendan has over 15 years of experience working in climate and energy; covering geopolitics, sustainable finance, and science and technology. He was a key part of the UK’s COP26 Presidency and has been involved in the creation of several high-profile international initiatives, including the Just Energy Transition Partnerships. He holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin.
Alma Sartori
Head of Grants & Operations
Alma has over 16 years of programmatic, grantmaking and operational experience working in the NGO sector to develop and support community building and organisational capacity strengthening for social change. She holds a Law degree from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.

Shalani Siwawa joined PIE in August 2023 and has 4 years of experience in project management and corporate communications. She holds an MSc in Management from EMLYON Business School (France) and Lancaster University (UK).

Maria Elena has over 15 years of experience in project management and business development working with civil society municipalities, private sector, academics, funders, and the Philanthropic sector. Maria studied Business and International Relations.
Buket Turanli
Steel Network Coordinator
Buket has ten years experience in civil society organisations and is a specialist in network development. She promotes collaboration between different actors to accelerate decarbonisation of the steel sector. She has worked on policy areas such as air pollution, climate change and the phasing out of coal. In addition to this, she also worked as a trainer for permaculture and community building. She holds a master’s degree in social sciences from Humboldt University in Berlin and undergraduate studies in economics.

Chan has over a decade of experience in international affairs, digital technology and climate working at the OECD, think tanks, start-ups and philanthropy. She also co-founded a FinTech solution venture and assisted early-stage start-ups in technology-enhanced integrity and community empowerment. She holds a Master’s in economics from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor’s in management science from Fudan University.
